Introduction

SparkFunLCD.dll is a LCD Smartie driver for a variety of sized serial controlled LCDs that Spark Fun sells by the name of SerLCD.

Installation

SparkFunLCD.dll should be placed in the 'displays' subdirectory of the LCD Smartie installation directory.
It requires that the Visual 2005 redistributable package is installed on the executing computer. If necessary, this package can be downloaded from Microsoft's site.

Parameters

The plugin communicates with the VFD by the mean of the RS232 interface, through a COM port. COM port configuration is set to device defaults but it can be modified through the LCD Smartie plugin window. COM port, baud rate, and delay timings can be configured this way.
